Stop, Go. Yes, No. Fast, Slow. In many cultures we have been conditioned to recognize the colours red and green as signals; symbols of freedom or prohibition.
We awoke in the woods of Pocono, PA with a yearning for the freedom of the New York City. 24 hours of light and life.
The reality was a transition from the green of leaves to the red of lights. The organic, lush and clean transitioned to the harsh man-made; with signs bearing regulations governing access.
This is a photo documentation of our experience; the emotions, and observations during escape from a green ‘jungle’ to a grey ‘concrete jungle’.
These are 1100 photographs taken over a period of 2 hours, and kept in their original sequence.
